Scenic Dallas Chapter
Our mission is to limit actions which have a harmful visual impact on our city and support public policies which promote scenic conservation and beautification, and provide education concerning the impact of visual pollution on our quality of life.
Scenic Dallas provides an educational tool and a voice for citizens of Dallas.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- New Billboard Ban enacted in 2000 by the Dallas City Council
- Ongoing Enforcement including the removal of billboards on SH190 (President George Bush Turnpike)
- Green Ribbon Project Funds totaling more than $1.8 million were allocated by the Texas Legislature to benefit Dallas for 2001-2003, and re-appropriated for that same amount for another two years for 2003-2005
