This scenic ride will feature Aaron Chamberlain, Texas Monthly freelance writer and co-founder of the Austin Beer Guide, who is the first person to circumnavigate the state of Texas (more than 3,000 miles) on a bike.
This is an open ride format from 8 a.m. to noon where riders can take to the course freely to enjoy the scenic ride that begins and ends at Vista Brewing. After catching the sun coming up on this 21-mile ride enjoy a socially distanced brew outside in the Vista Brewing beer garden.

This ride will take place in conjunction with the Driftwood Historical Conservation Society event that dedicates that stretch of road on FM 150 in front of Vista Brewing as the Travis Heritage Trail. Currently, the Driftwood community is working with Hays County Commissioners and Texas state legislators to place the Travis Heritage Trail under the Texas State Transportation Code Title 6, Chapter 391., Highway Beautification. This will ban junk yards, sanitary fills and billboard placement on the Heritage Trail, and preserve the beauty and historic significance of this roadway for future generations. This is directly related to the work we are doing in scenic highway designations and protecting our scenic roads throughout the state.
